Disconnect to reconnect with yourself
Positive Push #7
In just a few days, I will be going to India.
To Ladakh more precisely.
To support the conservation of Snow Leopards as I join HER Planet Earth on this expedition with 12 other amazing women.
From 30°C here in Bali to -20°C at around 3,500 meters altitude. 🥶
Just writing these lines, I am already cold.
To be honest, my whole life, I said that I was not someone for the cold weather. Always thought that the snow mountains were not for me.
Even though I watched countless documentaries and read so many books about expeditions in the mountains.
Secretly hoping that one day, I would get to go there as well.
Until one day, when this opportunity came to me thanks to Christine Amour-Levar. The superwoman behind this expedition.
I knew that I HAD to join.
I knew that I had to overcome my fear of the cold.
Trying to embrace a new mindset "I have never done it, nothing is showing me that I can't.".
So here I am, preparing myself this weekend with new gear and equipment for the trip.
I am excited, nervous and happy at the same time. ☺️
Because I will get to disconnect for a while.
Like really d i s c o n n e c t.
In the hyper-connected world we live in today, being disconnected has become a privilege.
An opportunity to go inwards, take a step back and reflect.
I wrote about "pressing pause" a few weeks ago, and this is a reminder that reclaiming some time for ourselves, is the best gift we could ever have.
Especially if this time is spent in Nature, where we can fully reconnect with ourselves.
As I am in a "transition" phase of my life, I am excited to see what will unfold from this trip.
Secretly hoping for an "AHA" moment.
Because I need it moving forward.
To get clarity and a new direction.
I can feel that I am close, and I believe that this trip is arriving at a perfect time.
So, wish me luck and I will definitely keep you updated once I come back.
In the meantime, I wish you some time for yourself as well. Even if it's a few hours that you're claiming back, know that it can do wonders.
Go outside, walk, dance, meet friends, and immerse yourself in Nature if you can.
And most importantly, turn off your phone.
This will help you "turn on" your mind in different ways.
Ways that might surprise you. 👀
Keep pushing 💪
